stories out the bus window

The couple out on a Friday night, dressed up but solemn, their hands held but straight down, the woman pulling him behind using the leverage of her elbow.

The determined, stuttering man speaking with the bus driver, his chin pushed forward between hunched shoulders, speaking about the northern lights. "Bye angel," he said as he got off, tapping a pair of dress shoes against the window.

The brand new family of three struggling to master a baby carrier as they stand next to a huddle of bikers and a blue-tarp tent of the man who claims the park as home.
