apple peel chips

After making apple sauce, I found myself with a bowl of meaty apple peel. Not having used a knife to peel apples in a while, I'd lost a good amount of apple on them. I didn't want it to go to waste.

There is a reason why people don't usually make apple chips from the peel. It's tougher. However, I figured there wasn't anything for me to loose from trying and I like how it turned out.

Original Recipe

Preheat oven to 200 F.

Apple peel with some meat on it

Spread out over a baking sheet.
Bake for 2 hours.
If you're using two pans, switch them after 1 hour.
Allow to cool.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
