The next day we took the 1€ bus to Eze, a small medieval
village to the North of Nice. It’s a wonderful corkscrew maze of streets with
hotels, galleries, and linen shops all tumbled on top of each other.
On our way back, we paid our 1€ return fare with ten cent
pieces from seven different countries. Now there’s something you could never do
in the United States.
Pulled back to the beach, we spent a couple hours wandering
near the harbor, along the breakers, and then to a café where we got crepes
because we couldn’t go to France and not get crepes. Then back to our hostel
for dinner and bed.
