I don't think Shakespeare was thinking of us students of his this some half-century later when he wrote Hamlet. Otherwise, I don't think he would have had two important Hamlets in it and named the play Hamlet as well. I keep running into such conundrums such as "In Hamlet, Hamlet is required by duty to avenge Hamlet."

Sigh.
