stone soup

This past Saturday, I found myself with one banana that was quickly turning to mush on my pantry shelf. Smoothie? No berries. Or spinach. Or yogurt. This dilemma launched me on a search for a one-banana banana bread. Success! I found one on Happy Domesticity. Then I figured..."if the oven is already on..." I whipped together another apple braid with Eat Live Run's recipe. I did it earlier and it turned out lovely. No pictures though. Sorry. This time, the dough ended up very sticky because I used a different kind of flour that has bran in it, making it less absorbent of the added liquid. But hey! It will still taste good, even if it doesn't look as lovely.
