I am happy to announce that I have seen my first fireflies!
You're probably thinking "what...is she a hermit that she's been in Georgia all these years and never seen fireflies?"
the answer is NO, I'm NOT, and that I have no idea how it's taken this long. But they're all along the sidewalks in the evening and a couple snuck into our room last night. They flicked about the room after my roommates had fallen asleep. Turns out jet lag really isn't all that bad, especially when you get to see such beauty.
Next goal in relation to fireflies: gather them in a jar.
