I am falling in love with the Fanny Farmer Cookbook.
I think "hm...I'd like to make lemon bars..." so I flip through, find "lemon tart" and make one in bar form. Or perhaps I want to use up the bananas that are slowly turning back to dirt on our counter so I look up "banana bread" and make a loaf. Or perhaps I want to start off on an adventure of making as many different kinds of cookies as I can. Not that I'm planning to have that much time on my hands or want to eat that many cookies. But, if I did, I'd be set.
I haven't even explored the soups/stews/entrees section yet.
