Rest

So here I am. Living at home for three months. It won't be all peaches and cream, but I believe that that is part of God's blessing. There are a lot of changes to get used to...

the largest of which I believe is not working in ministry. It is drilled into our minds that we must serve God with our lives...but we are also to live quietly and do what we find to do with our hands...

Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another, for that indeed is what you are doing to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to do this more and more, and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one. 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 ESV.

There is rest there...living quietly and working with your hands.
 
I believe rest is something the LORD is going to be teaching me this summer. Resting in Him alone, not in what I am doing, or what I am accomplishing, or even what I am capable of.
