William Carlos Williams, anyone?

Reading his writings. Enjoying his simplistic style, especially after Wallace Stevens and all his complicated twisting sentences. For example: "The Emperor of Ice-Cream." Look it up. It's crazy. I found this scribbled out on a sticky note pad a few mornings ago. I'd woken up in the middle of the night and it slipped into my mind, fully formed. I have learned to always write such things down. So here is an ode to WCW's "The Red Wheelbarrow" (which you should also read). While it doesn't follow the imagism that WCW so wonderfully lays out in the original, the words tripped so nicely together.

So much depends

blanket

beside the little
sofa.
