Decided I wasn't really using this shelf correctly. It used to have sweatshirts and jackets and scarves and meds and nail polish remover bottles. It was a "take one thing and then end up having to put everything else back in place" type of thing.
Scarves are now hanging from my bed frame making a colorful, sentimental curtain along the end. Jackets are hanging on the door, all folded over and crammed on the towel rod. A dictionary, encyclapedia, popori, collected acorns, and other things that make me happy now fill the space.
It's now a place of stillness...words and thoughts yet quiet. Perfect to stare at and remember when everything else is going crazy.
