This day we toured little villages in the Cotswolds.
We also stopped into an artists studio. She is a weaver as her father was before her. He was the last of the renowned Cotswold tweed weavers. Whenever he had a selling event, the royal family would come first to choose their tweed, and the next day the public could go. The photograph below was pinned up on a casual corkboard in the corner. It shows a very young queen in the center with the weaver to her left.
The weather was gorgeous and the fresh spring leaves showed off for all they were worth.
At a local pub, I had my first official English fish and chips...the best I have ever tasted.
From the pub we headed to a couple other little villages just to see them. One of the churches had traditional yew trees lining the cemetery.
