Here's one of my crochet experiments that actually worked out. It's yet another circle scarf, but it moves in a very different way than I expected.

Essentially, it is four chains that run parallel around the scarf with horizontal strips connecting them. While it is laying on a table, it stretches out into a wide, almost lacy look. As soon as it is lifted however, it transforms into a thick rope-like scarf. It keeps wind out like almost no other scarf I have.

ch 11, marking last st
repeat twice to reach a ch of 33, always marking last st
ch 10, sc in second marked st
ch 10, sc in first marked st
ch 10, sc in 1st st on original ch
continue chaining and connecting to the scs below
