The Jar of Regrettable Things

This is The Jar of Regrettable Things.Here's how it works:

One buys a jar.

Someone does a regrettable thing such as someone else's pet peeve when they're around, a habit they are trying to break, or anything that they consider regrettable such as "had an awkward conversation" or perhaps "didn't prepare for class."

Here's the hard part: that person must tell someone else in the room what they did.

Then that person must put in at least five cents (up to a stated price by roommies) or an IOU for "back rub," "vacuuming," "food" etc)

A fun part is decorating the jar. I rubber-cemented the encyclopedia page with "regret" onto the lid.

So far we're really enjoying having it. Yeah, it'll get harder as we run out of available change, have less and less time to do things like vacuum, and eat away at our emotional reserves, but I foresee it keeping us accountable not only to our roommates, but also to ourselves. And who doesn't want to be able to call up on IOU for a back rub?
