The Chink

Our room knows the room directly below us on our brother hall so we decided that there needed to be ready access for such exchanges as quotes, youtube video links, and cookies. Hence, the Chink.

It's a simple contraption of string tied to a clothespin, looped around the latch, and lowered out of our window down in front of theirs. So far it's worked wonderfully. There has even been a kilter asking through it.

As for the name, it is of course a literary reference. When you have two english majors up here and one shakespearean actor down there, you're bound to have something cook up that has to do with literature.

In Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, a small band of players acts out a story which includes two characters talking through a chink in the wall. And there you have it.
