All in all I have found the British to be a lovely, considerate, generally friendly set. It would actually be difficult to enter a store and buy something that isn't fair trade, recycled, or made from renewable resources. However, I would like to know who decided it was a good idea to have the bike lane also be the bus lane. And these aren't just regular buses from the states...these are double-decker walls of red bearing down on you or suddenly right beside you because they decided you were biking too slow. I am very slowly getting used to them and haven't even come close to being hit by one, but despite that, their size lends a great deal to the eerie feeling of impending doom as one comes up behind you.
Though I must say the buses themselves are awfully fun to ride in.
