sad tidings (but not too sad)

My camera has decided to cease working. Every time I push the "on" button I wait for the whirring of the lens opening up. It doesn't come and I can't help but feel that something has died. Of course, it hasn't, as it was never alive to begin with...though I do miss knowing exactly what it wants and how to make it happy.  There I go again...going all anthropomorphic on you...

So what does it mean? It means that there won't be nearly as many pictures, despite the continuance of wonderful sunsets and some new yarn lovelies...scarves and the beginning of a cacti...so nothing too interesting...

I may be able to procure the use of a point and shoot from some as of yet unknown quarter, but we shall see. In the meantime, there will be a lot of text and perhaps some pinterest photos to get some color in.
