"You shall not be afraid of them but you shall remember what the LORD your God did..." Deuteronomy 7:18
How my textbook smells exactly like one of my childhood books. Every time I open it I end up with this strange feeling of manipulation that fades into happy memories.
How the twinge of smoke on the air from the local neighborhoods sends me right back home to damply crisp leaves under my boots and the feel of your scarf through mittens.
Tea steam in your nose as the rain pats against the window.
That fuzzy feeling on your tongue when the mocha was too hot but you couldn't wait.
The LORD calms my fears with positive triggers...reminding me that memories need not always be avoided...that they can be so very sweet.
